Mr. Kartick Biswas, the Managing Director of Uttrayan and its founding member, is a science graduate from Calcutta University. He brings with him an enriched experience of the microfinance industry for over 24 years. He has a clear vision about the organization in the dynamic MFI industry and has detailed knowledge in finance, fundraising, ground-level operations, and other allied activities. He has good leadership qualities and can lead and represent the organization in all areas. He has enriched his knowledge by attending different programs and seminars in this field organized by different leading institutions. In Uttrayan, he is personally responsible for finance, administration, and audit.
Mr. Apu Dhar
Director
Mr. Apu Dhar, the Executive Director of Uttrayan Financial Services Private Limited, has played a significant role in raising the company to its current position since March 25, 2009. He has more than 24 years of experience working in livelihood and microfinance programmes within the self-help group movement. He received his degree in Arts from the University of Calcutta. He has a wealth of knowledge in operation, finance, accounting, and retail activity. He exudes optimism, energy, friendliness, zeal and practicality. As a member of the faculty for in-house training, he has extensive experience in microfinance projects and training programmes.
Mr. Subhasis Banerjee
Company Secretary
Mr. Subhasis Banerjee is a company secretary of Uttrayan and has been associated with the company since August 16, 2021. He holds a Bachelor's Degree of Commerce. He is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is responsible for the statutory & regulatory compliance, secretarial affairs, due diligence, audit, and stakeholder relationships under the applicable laws, corporate laws, rules, & regulations related to NBFC.
Mr. Victor Banerjee
Sr. Manager - Finance & Operations
Mr. Victor Banerjee is a qualified cost and management accountant (CMA) and has a rich experience of more than 13 years in the field of the microfinance industry. He is presently looking after business operations and people management, finance, and MIS. He possesses excellent leadership and team-building skills.
Mr. Udaya Kumar Sutar
Manager Finance & Head - Internal Audit
Mr. Udaya Kumar Sutar is the internal auditor of Uttrayan and has been associated with the company since April 2021. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has more than 17 years of experience in the fields of audit, accounts, finance, and managing funds.
Mr. Jyotirmoy Banerjee
Manager (Finance)
Mr. Jyotirmoy Banerjee holds a bachelor degree in commerce and has more than 27 years of experience in finance & accounts. He is currently looking after budgeting & projection of funds raising, scouting for new funding avenues, and liaising with existing funding associates.
Mr. Tuhin Karmakar
Sr. Manager (Accounts)
Mr. Tuhin Karmakar has been associated with the company with effect from April 1, 2013. He has graduated with a B.Com. (Honours) from the University of Kalyani and an MBA in Finance from Jadavpur University. He has wide experience in strategic planning, accounts, audit, treasury management, resource mobilization, taxation, regulatory compliance, and management information systems.
Ms. Bejoya Shaw (Roy)
Manager, MIS
Ms. Bejoya Shaw (Roy) is the head of the department of MIS and has more than 14 years of rich experience. She has post-graduated with an M.Com from the University of Calcutta and has been looking after the loan management information system, developing & maintaining operational system plans, and coordinating with other departments.
Mr. Srikrishna Maity
Operation Manager - Information Technology (IT)
Mr. Srikrishna Maity is the head of the IT department of Uttrayan and has more than 22 years of wide experience in microfinance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and an advanced diploma in computer applications. In his current role he is responsible for software development and implementation. He looks at the end-to-end IT operations of Uttrayan.
Ms. Moumita Chanda
Manager - Administration
Ms. Moumita Chanda is a Master of Science (Botany) and has more than 8 years of working experience. She is presently entrusted with the responsibilities of the Department of Administration, Staff Assessment & Recruitment, Training, and Health Benefits Scheme for the existing beneficiaries of Uttrayan.

Uttrayan Financial Services Private Limited is a Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC-MFI) registered under Reserve Bank of India(RBI). We started our microfinance on-lending operation way back in the year 2001 with its head office at Kolkata(West Bengal), by providing small ticket size loan to the poor woman in rural and semi-urban area through group based system. Our Company provides livelihood promotion services comprising of livelihood and other Micro financial services to those population segments which are mostly un-reached by the formal banking systems with the principal purpose of promoting sustainable livelihoods.
We are one of the few MFIs in West Bengal who have partnered with State Bank of India in their prestigious and coveted project of “Co-Lending” .The limit sanctioned to us is 300Cr. Thus enabling Uttrayan to pass on the benefits of lower interest rate for Loans,as low as 19.45%(Blended) currently to our ultimate beneficiaries(Borrowers) .The opportunity has been spread across our network of Branches in 10 States catering to our 1 Lakh plus clients.
Over 23 year of Financial Services present across 10 States and 74 districts of India. Uttrayan now working in 117 branches spread over 10 districts of West Bengal,9 districts in the state of Assam, 16 districts in the state of Bihar, 1 district in the state of Meghalaya, 12 districts in the state of Odisha, 2 districts in the state of Sikkim, 3 district in the state of Uttarakhand ,8 districts in the state of Punjab, 6 district in the state of Jharkhand, 8 districts in the state of Rajasthan India, where we are providing services to more than 1,00,000 clients to make their way out of the poverty.

We designed a series of activities to enhance the level of client’s satisfaction. Client grievance redressal mechanism has been adopted to identify and solve the grievances as early as possible.
